• 2nd Annual "Caribbean Cruise Night!"
  The Boys and Girls Club of the Lakes Region will be hosting the 2nd Annual "Caribbean Cruise Night!" on Saturday, March 13, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Church Landing in Meredith. The board of directors invite everyone to join them for a Caribbean and cruise-themed night of dinner, dancing, celebration and bidding, as well-known auctioneer, P K Zyla, presents auction items from local and club artists, as well as gift certifi cates, jewelry, gift baskets, trips, sports memorabilia and much more. Some of the items to be included in the auction will be an African safari trip, signed sports memorabilia, and framed art from Bob Baron. Tickets are $50 per person or $85 per couple and can be purchased beginning in January, online at www.bgclr.org, or at Baron's Billiards at 1127 Union Avenue and Lakes Region Jewelers at the Belknap Mall.



• 6th Annual Citizen of Laconia Used Book Sale
  We have close to 30,000 books this year; mysteries, cookbooks, non-fiction, fiction, and everything in-between!!! The event is held at the Citizen of Laconia, 171 Fair St, use rear doors off Water ST. The proceeds from the event will benefit the Newspapers & Information in Education program at The Citzien of Laconia. We provide free newspapers, curriculum, and materials to the local schools. • Dinner In Bristol
  The Dynamite Dinner Crew of the Bristol United Church of Christ is hosting another dinner Saturday, March 13th from 5:30-7pm, corned beef and cabbage with homemade desserts provided by the Women's Association. Take out meals are available by calling 744-8132. The church is located on the corner of Church and South Main Streets in Bristol.



• Party on the Snow
  When teams come to the Party on The Snow, they have a full day of fun scheduled. There are gifts for just showing up as a participant! Party on The Snow provides for breakfast/lunch and dinner. Team members ski and ride Gunstock Mountain from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. at night! There is a NASTAR course to have fun with and tubing is on a lift-serviced set of trails is included for party participants as well. We have an awards ceremony where we acknowledge benchmark winners with big prizes donated for the occasion. After the awards ceremony, a rock and roll band plays for hours of dancing. Sounds good doesn't it? Come join us on Saturday, March 13 and experience it yourself. We are proud of the people that are involved with the program, and we want to give back to the community. This year we've set a goal to receive $25,000 in donations.
