Events Calendar
- A Good Ol' Burlesque Show
Travel back in time for some old fashioned fun and entertainment with the best of Burlesque. Side-splitting slapstick humor, Dancing Girls, Crazy Antics in the style of Abbott & Costello and the Marx Brothers, Old-Tyme Musical Numbers, Special Guest Performers and more! Partnering with NH Historical Societies, this show is rich in Authentic Theatre History, thick with Comedy and good for your Can Can.
- Auction to benefit Belmont Elemntary School PTO
Purpose is to help fund their awning project and other support programs for the school.
To be held at Belmont Elementary School 26 BEST ST. Belmont NH 03220

- Blood Drive at Hannaford In Franklin
The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive Saturday April 17th from 9am-3pm at Hannaford in Franklin. All donors will receive a Red Cross reusable grocery bag. Remember, if you're at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and in good health, you can give blood every eight weeks. Proper ID is required.
- Dance To Benefit CAP's Cupboard
A dance to benefit the Belknap-Merrimack County Community Action Program's food pantry, 'CAP's Cupboard', will be held Saturday April 17th from 7:30-Midnight at Franklin VFW Post 1698. Live entertainment by the 'Joint Effort Band'. Admission is only three dollars with door prizes and raffles!
- Dinner In Bristol
The Dynamite Dinner Crew of the Bristol United Church of Christ is hosting another dinner Saturday, April 17th from 5:30-7pm, roast turkey with homemade desserts provided by the Women's Fellowship. Take out meals are available by calling 744-8132. The church is located on the corner of Church and South Main Streets in Bristol.
- Lakes Region Craft Fair
Come and enjoy this wonderful spring craft fair. Many different kinds of arts and crafts. Music, food and raffle for the NH Humane Society in Laconia. 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
- Lakes Region's Got Talent
Laconia High School Band Boosters will be hosting a Lakes Region wide talent show on Saturday April 17, 2010 at 7:00 PM in the Laconia High auditorium. Contestants will be judged for cash prizes up to $500! Tickets are $7.00 for Adults and $5.00 for Seniors and Children they are available at The Sundial Shop and Greenlaws Music in Laconia. The funds raised will go towards the new uniforms and intruments. For more information about auditions or the event, please call Betsy at 528-4812.
- Newfound School & Community Musical
Newfound Regional High School's 29th Annual School and Community Musical, 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat', takes place Friday April 16th and Saturday April 17th at 7:30pm at the Newfound Regional High School Theater Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for adults. - Save The Tatas!! Breast Cancer Event
Your help is needed to support a great fundraiser on April 17th...Julie Davine, a Sanbornton resident, is looking for your help in support of the Avon 3 day walk for breast cancer. Her event is called "SAVE THE TATAS"! It will be a fun night of raising money and awareness to save the tatas by celebrating the tatas! It's being held at the Baja Beach Club in Gilford located behind the China Bistro and across the street from the Margate, Saturday April 17th @ 8:30pm. Tickets are ten dollars per person with all proceeds benefiting the Avon 3 Day Walk for Breast Cancer, a 20-mile-a-day walk in Boston later this summer. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the China Bistro or at the Baja Beach Club. Their goal is to raise $3000.
- The Lakes Federation of the Blind
The Lakes Federation of the Blind will meet on Saturday, April 17 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Parade Rd. in Laconia. Social hour begins at 10:30am and meeting at 11:00am. Pot luck luncheon will be served at noon.
Please be advised that there will not be a meeting in May as members will be attending the state convention being held at the E. F. Lane Hotel in Keene. For further information please call Jane Flanders at 528-6077.
